Hi
The overdraft for my old bank account (Clydesdale) is part of my Trust Deed, along with Credit card and Loan from same bank.
Trust Deed had no objections and has been sent to AIB to get protection status (hopefully).
As i no longer use the account (though view it online to check charges etc) my question is regarding the default charges/debit interest fees that have been applied to it since start of TD and taken it above the overdraft limit.
Should i worry about them?
I have slight worry as i updated my Direct Debit details with mobile phone company, only to find they tried to take payment from old account (Indian Call Centre issue and i have since sorted this out). Would the bank still expect me to pay the fee for this DD default outwith the TD?

Hi Derek
No, it will form a claim and the calculation of that claim will be taken as at the date you signed. They will clear any charges after that date as you are not liable for them.

Thats certainly good news. Thanks Mark
Hi Derek
No problem. The figures on the statement of affairs are always best guestimates, but we received claim forms with the final figures, so its never a problem.
