Hi All

Does anyone know if someone currently in a protected trust deed can become a director in an English Ltd Company?

I have been offered a position as a director and shareholder of an English Registered company. From what I can see (so far), only undischarged bankrupts are disqualified from directorship. Is this correct?

Thanks in advance once again.

Hi Bowershall.

There is no problem in terms of being in a trust deed unless something in the articles of association of the company itself prevents you from becoming a director.

I'm not aware that the company being registered in England makes any difference.

Will the shares you are granted be of significant value?

Hi Bowershall

As TDA says, there should be no problem with it in terms of the Trust Deed.

Thanks again for the advice.
The share holding will be a nominal sum probably ยฃ1000.
I'm still hoping my trust deed will be settled early by a third party.
