Hi, the company dealing with my sequestration was taken over earlier this year. Then the person dealing with me left, I had to contact them to remind them that my review was due, that was when I was advised that someone new would be dealing with me, I then received the review form which I duly completed and returned, that was 2 weeks ago and I have not heard a word since, my old contact would write to me within days of receipt. My question therefore is this, can this new person look back at the previous 2 years and change the payments retrospectively? Also should I panic if I dont hear back, surely common courtesy to advise all is well or not.

Hi juliet.

Have there been any significant changes in your circumstances since the last review?

Hi TDA, no, nothing changed since last review, I was just thinking of a different persons perspective and possible reasons for no response. Are thry able to change payment amounts retrospectively?

Hi juliet.

If there's been no real change I very very much doubt that anything will change for you.

Hi, can they change payment amounts retrospectively? Am I just worrying unnecessarily due to no response from them? I just want everything to be right and want this over asap? Is this likely to be my last review as discharge due in 6 months?

I am sure that you are worrying for nothing, Juliet. They won't be making any changes to your contributions retrospectively unless there was a significant change that you didn't notify them of at the time.

Thanks Kevin, nothing has changed and all previous changes notified so I will stop worrying, it's just annoying no response but I suppose no news is good news .

Hi Juliet,

As Kevin and TDA have advised your probably worrying over nothing and I wouldn't worry about anyone looking over your file retrospectively to change anything if there has been no real change.

As we always say if your worried about anything at all just give your relationship manager a call to discuss this. A lot of my clients have my mobile number which can mean taking calls or texts at odd times asking questions or just for reassurance as it can be a stressful time for people.

It sounds like you don't have that long to go until you finish your payments to your Sequestration. I would try to focus on finishing these and looking forward to the future.

Over 3 weeks now and no response, it is so frustrating, it is keeping me awake at night, surely they have a moral responsibility to let you know after you send in all your I&E details that all is well. Are they on some kind of power trip !

I doubt it juliet, and I'm sure no news will turn out to be good news if your circumstances haven't changed.
