Hello,

I signed my contract a few weeks ago. How long before the banks stop calling me? I do not have a reference number to give them so the bank continue to harass. Should I have been given this number already or do I not get it until the waiting period has passed? I have used Kelsom and tried to contact them but due to working hours it is difficult, and their email that they have on their site appears to be wrong.

Today BOS drained my bank account. Quite upsetting as I would have used that money for my first trust deed payment. Will I get this back? My first Trust Deed payment is due 30th Novemember so surely that means I am under their protection soon?

You should have been advised to change your bank if that was one of your creditors to prevent that from happening. The day I signed my Td I payed my first payment but wasn't protected for another 5 weeks. I would still have had to make the next payment even if I had not been protected. From the advise on hear it is rare not to get protected though.

Just direct any callers towards your td firm.

As fifi says you should have been warned to open a new account with someone you don't owe money to. Could be hard to get any money drained out back.

Hi ROB87 and welcome.

A new bank account really is essential if you owe your existing bank money.

Contact your trust deed firm and see if they can help you to recover this cash. They may be able to help in getting these calls stopped as well.

And make sure you get any salary payments diverted to a new bank account or you will lose the next lot that goes it too.

Hi ROB87 It can take a couple of months for them to stop calling, I was given the advice from my trust dead people was to just hang up when anyone like that called, it did go against the grain to be rude to those people but they soon get the message (eventually, just bare with it, it will stop, it has been the best thing I ever did.
