Hi again, am finding this website most interesting! Could you help me clarify some more creative accounting that I've noticed on my hubbys TD account. We were told an independant valuation of our house would be carried out, imagine my surprise when the same valuer, who has been at our property 3 times previously, turned up again! Obviously didn't have much work to do as we have remortgaged several times over the last 10 years. From TD statement, he was paid last year (approx 1-2 months after work was done) For some reason, he has again been paid the same amount approx 6 months later! The 2 payments are clearly shown on the TD statement, can't imagine this is common practice surely? Many thanks again[:)]

Hi eoin8008

It certainly sounds strange. Could you let me know how much the 2 payments were for and which survey/valuation company was used. It may be that there is an agreement that the fee will be paid when there are funds in the account and split over 2 payments, but I guess that depends on the valuation fee.

If you don't want to do this on the open forum, you can e mail me through the site.
