I'm finding Co-op a wee bit slow. I started the ball rolling 25th November and while the account is now active (since the 2nd) they say it will take "at least a week" until we get the sort code and account number through the post. So we're looking at the 9th at the earliest before we can use the account.
Unfortunately, I don't think we'll have the details in time for my OH's payroll cut-off date so we've given them our son's account details for this month (mine will be OK) and explained that we'll need to submit yet another form next month! I hope they're a patient bunch [:)]
Something to make me chuckle though (after an initial panic) - our son's account was suspended as the "fraud squad" were concerned at the level of activity on his account! His account is very quiet - one SO and only his student bursary going in! And now all of a sudden, there's payments to the car company, SKY, the utilities company etc. But it's all been sorted so back to normal.
Pam
Things have been very quiet lately. New bank account is set up along with DDs for various outgoings (mortgage, car etc.). Our employers have our new details so I'm confident that both salaries will be paid without any problems (fingers crossed!). Phonecalls aren't too bad - it's the usual suspects, Barclays Partner Finance who call 6 times a day (landline and both mobiles, twice each). They occasionally leave messages but I refuse to call them back! Would you if you received a message saying "Hi, this is a message for <insert name>. It's Michelle. Please phone me on xxxx-xxx-xxxx"? What if I was a jealous wife? I'd think my man was having an affair with some jezebel called Michelle!
We find out in a couple of days if our TD is protected or not. The deadline is tomorrow - do you usually find out quite quickly? Some good news before Xmas would be lovely! We sort of thought that if one of the major creditors rejected the TD, our IP would tell us sooner rather than later.
So, fingers crossed for some good news!
Pam
You often find if an IP finds out early that someone with a major say is being negative then they can work on them, and its not often that trust deeds fail to get protected. Its not a sure thing but it is a commercial decision made by creditors so if your best offer is on the table they will snap it up.

A new dawn.
Thanks Paul. Ooh, one payment - I bet that feels fab! Our first payment is in January so we've had a good reprieve for 2 months. No payments being paid to debts so we've managed to pay for a couple of big purchases for the house which we'd never manage for the next three years. And they were essentials (not TV's or games consoles etc.)
Pam
I'm going to phone them first thing Wednesday and will be straight on here to update! After a (hopefully!) celebratory cake/glass of wine/chocolate!
Pam
Yummmy a glass of chocolate sounds nice!!! Good luck.

Actually, it's not too far off the mark! I had a lovely bottle of actual chocolate wine a few weeks ago and I would give my right arm for another one![:)]
