Hi,
Can anyone help me get some peace of mind? My fiance is with a trust deed, and still has 3yrs left, we are due to get married next year, will this go against me as i have a good credit rating, its only him that has debt
Welcome to the forum beanie1.
Your credit rating is an individual thing so it will not be affected so long as you have no joint debts in the trust deed that aren't paid as normal.
Do you have a joint current account or mortgage or anything similar?
Thanks for getting back to me..no we do not have a joint current account, both have our seperate accounts, we dont have any joint finances, just wondering, once married, am i tied to anything?
Good ending TDA!
Being married will have no impact on you if there are no joint debts or bank accounts. The debt is still your partner's and you cannot be held liable in any way.

That's my conclusion-Joint finances are generally not a good idea.
