have been involved in a trust deed for 3 years past september, i have had numerous letters since then telli me my payments haveto increase. are they allowed to hassle me like this. they have threatened to uplift my car as well!
Welcome to the trust deed forum maizy.
Have they given you a reason for wanting payments to increase?
Have your circumstances improved in any way since the trust deed started?
If they're threatening to uplift your car the matter/dispute appears to be at a fairly advanced stage.
Please let us have a little more information and we'll try to help you resolve this before anything like that happens.
Dear Maizy, welcome to the forum.
How many payments were you supposed to be paying towards your Trust Deed? If it was 36 (3 years) has the Trust Deed beeen continued because you haven't paid all your payments? Did the Trust Deed company review your income and expenditure and assess that you could afford to increase your contribution?
What was the agreement in respect of the car when you signed the Trust Deed?
If you let us have some more information we can try and help you.

i have made 36 payments the last one in september last year. my 6 monthly reviews informed them of an increase in salary but also in outgoings. they want to increase my payments by over 100 pounds a month and say they want another 48 payments. they have not yet paid any money to my creditors and state their fees will increase due to the longevity of the trust deed.
i declared my car as an asset.
yes i sent them six months bank statements. my car i worth 1000 pounds although they are telling me it is worth 2500. i have had it valued and sent them the details
Hi Maizy
I note that you sent them your bank statements, however did you ever receive anything in writing confirming that they accepted your figures and that your contribution would remain unchanged?
Has the trustee provided you with a copy of their valuation? If not you should ask them for a copy so that you can compare valuations.
