Hi inthered.

If you're not yet discharged I think you'll need to discuss any proposed sale of your home with your trustee first.

I will give them a call.

Just wanting to know if anyone has done this? Or if there is any chance of getting a new mortgage.

Thanks

Hi inthered

It could get complicated to be honest. If you sell, the trustee would need to authorise & sign the disposition for any sale.

I think it would also be extremely difficult if not impossible to get a mortgage while still in the trust deed.

Hi inthered

Do you think you have enough equity in your property to be able to conclude a sale? I'm guessing as you paid £500 at the outset your property wouldn't have had any equity?

As others have said I think it would be very difficult to get a mortgage whilst your in a Trust Deed and even when you have been discharged.

Is there a particular reason that you really want to move house?

Hi inthered

Unfortunately I think you may need to sit tight for a while after the trust deed has completed as obtaining a mortgage will be difficult. A sizeable deposit would assist, but not sure how viable this is.

Hi inthered

You've already received some good advice from the forum and the team at Wilson Andrews but if you do need any further help or advice please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

You're almost there with just a few months to go which I'm sure is a huge relief.

Thank you
Sarah
