I entered a Protected Trust Deed with KPMG in the Summer of 2009. After making just 3 payments , my income reduced significantly, and my Trustee agreed that, as a result, I am unable to continue with my contributions. However they will not tell me how they plan to move things forward. My financial situation has steadily worsened and I am now accruing fresh debts (council tax etc).
I have moved in with my partner, which has stopped the situation worsening further, but I am still left with a Trust Deed which seems to have been left in limbo, anf fresh debts of around ?รบ2000 which I cant pay.
I know that Bankruptcy is the best course for me (I have no assets, disposable income or property) but I know that, as I'm in the Trust Deed, KPMG have control.
Is there any way I can get things moving forward? Its really worrying both my partner and myself but trying to talk to KPMG is very difficult.
As you say, it is up to your trustee to take action to convert your trust deed into a sequestration. I think all you can do is to talk to them again I'm afraid and make your feelings clear.
Good luck Ross
