I started my PTD while I stayed in Scotland, however a year in I moved to England to be with my boyfriend (now my fiance).
Having just completed a review they are asking to see a rent agreement but I do not have one as we worked all the bills out and I pay half including half his mortgage which I put down as rent as this is not my house and does not have my name on.
I do not believe they can involve my partner in my PTD or his home, but I also do not have a rental agreement with him.
Please advise.

Welcome to the forum del66.

If you don't have a rent agreement you obviously cannot show it to them.

You'll need to discuss this with your trustee and establish how you can satisfy their request to justify your expenditure levels. This is part of the role that you appointed them to do.

I'm sure you'll be able to work out a way forward with them.

As long as what you are paying is reasonable then I don't see why it should be a problem that you don't have a rent agreement. It's a similar situation to somebody that lives with their parents - how often would there be a rent agreement in those circumstances?

I imagine your trustee will be happy if you can show that what you are paying represents your half of the monthly mortgage payment.

Hi del66 and welcome to the forum.

It may well just be a standard letter/request by your Trustee.

Put a call into your relationship manager/Trustee to advise them that you don't have a rental agreement as you live with your partner.

I'm sure there won't be any problems with this.
