A lot will depend on your current circumstances - whether you are working, what percentage of the property value you are needing to borrow etc. If you tick enough boxes I dare say that you should be able to get a mortgage despite a trust deed showing on your credit file, it is just a bit harder and it might be that the only interest rate you can get is a bit higher.

Thanks, i am working full time and have always done so. I reacently got promoted so i have a very good job now and earn over ?ú30,000 per year. I had to get the trust deed because my husband ran up loads of debt on the joint bank account that i didnt know about. He left and has never been traced since. The bank and the lawyers said i was single and jointly responsible so as they couldnt trace him i had to pay. I will hopefully have a big enough deposit by the end of the year. I paid ?ú650 per month for TD so i am saving the same amount each month. Hopefully will get there soon.
