Hi, I have just found out about TDs. I am wondering if it would be a better option for me. I owe about ?ú11,000 inc two jnt debts with my ex-husband. I am currently on a DMP with CCCS, have been for yrs and will be forever, I appear to be getting nowhere fast. Along with my sole debts I also have a couple of jnt debts with my ex-husband & am wondering how these will affect him. He lives in England. Although he is considering an IVA. Also, one of my debts is with Welcome! would they freeze the interest on the debt with them? they tell me its something they don't do, hence I am racking up a huge debt with them albeit I am on a DMP. Can they go against me going on a TD? I think they are my largest debtor, I am trying to get an up to date amount from them but they are not good at giving out info.

Hi Nosila

I think in the DMP, you need to be sure that there is an end date, otherwise it can drag on forever. The options other than a DMP could be a TD or DAS. The DAS would require the debts be paid in full, but you would stop interest.

The Trust Deed would be for 3 years and also stop interest.

If there are joint debts, the companies can pursue your husband for the full amount.

Hello Nosila and welcome to the forum.

How much do you pay to CCCS currently?
