Hi,
I wonder if anyone can advise...I signed my TD with RSM Tenon (who were very helpful). My 5 weeks wait was up on 28th March. I emailed person dealing with my TD last week but I have not heard back yet whether I have received protected status or not. RBS have phoned tonight and I referred them to my Trustees. They said they hadn't heard from Trustees. They wanted to know all about my outgoings and incomings and then chanted off lots of legal jargon regarding legal action...really frightening. Is this normal? Does this mean that RBS haven't accepted? Shall be so glad when I can breathe again!

Hello herewego.

A few of the RSM Tenon advising team have had holidays at various times over the past fortnight which may have led to a delay in an individual picking up and replying to your email.

You might want to submit one of the "contact Kevin" forms on the site with your personal details and I know he will look into it for you and get back to you quickly.

I'd be hopeful that there isn't an issue but do understand your natural concern.

Hello herewego,

It seems there have been a few delays over the past few weeks. It sounds like I am making excuses, I know, but a combination of holidays over easter, sickness and professional training has come together with quite a busy period so some timescales have been stretched a little.
We are working hard to catch up on the backlog and normal service should soon be resumed. Please accept my apologies and do please get in touch as TDA suggests and I can chase this up for you.

Don't worry about RBS, this is a common issue, where creditors tell people they haven't heard from us. Unfortunately it seems that quite often the collections team in a bank aren't kept informed by their colleagues/agents who deal with the insolvency work. It usually filters through to them eventually, but sometimes we do end up having to contact a few different people in the same organisation to get things sorted out.

Thank you TDA and Kevin!

Your quick replies are much appreciated and your advice is very reassuring. I shall be patient and wait a little longer and perhaps I shall have some good news soon. Don't want to be a pest! TD company were very reassuring at start of TD and said it was very straightforward and if they thought there would be a problem they would say at the start.

Thank you also Keven for advice re RBS. Most of my debt is with them so
was so worried that they had refused TD.
