Hi All,
I am looking for a bit of advice I have just submitted my current monthkly payments and I have had to put my monthly clothing costs from 250 to 400 a month. This cost is to cover for myself and wife and two boys who are 14 and 12 and still growing. The company who handle our trust deed say this is too much and I have explained that most of this cost is for the older child as his brother gets his old cloths.
Can you please advise
Piper

Hi piper2009 and welcome.

I wish there were a kinder way to say this, but £400 per month for clothing for a family of four is way above the guidelines that creditors will generally accept.

I can only advise you to try to come to arrangement with your trust deed firm that you can make work and that they can put forward to your creditors.

To be honest piper2009, I'm really surprised that you were allowed £250pm in the first place! I'm afraid you need to be more realistic - guidelines for a family of 4 say just under £100pm for clothing, so your trustee has been doing you a big favour already.

Try buying clothes in supermarkets: Tesco and Sainsburys do good stuff at reasonable prices and George at Asda is probably the cheapest place to buy clothes and the quality is not bad

That's a good suggestion fcwalker. Matalan and also Primark can have suitable clothing at a reasonable price.

I'm sure it cannot be easy when your kids are teenagers mind you - it's all about the labels these days unfortunately.
