Hi Marty72.

There are a couple of firms and organisations that come up when you search for this name. Whereabouts are they based?

I don't believe they are insolvency practitioners proving trust deed services, but depending upon exactly who they are they may be very reputable debt advisers.

Hi Marty72

I consulted with money matters in Cumbernauld prior to taking out a Trust Deed. I had contacted a major Scottish Trust Deed and did not feel comfortable with the first meeting.

I decided to seek some independent advice and contacted Money Matters. They were very helpful and professional. They discussed my situation with me including all the finances. Their suggestion was Trust Deed and offered to introduce me to one of the IPs they use. I believe it is a money and consumer advice centre, rather than an IP. I found them empathetic and practical. They suggested I meet with an IP and offered the facility of using an IP they deal with regularly. I choose to meet their contact. It was my decision to progress after meeting with him.

I thought they were a very helpful independent intermediary and counsel. And the benefit of having various offices is that you can choose to go for advice outside of your area, if you so choose.

Hi Firewalker.

For a few reasons we ask members not to post external links in the forum (don't worry if you didn't know).

Thanks for sharing your positive experience.

Sorry - I did not realise. It was to ensure he was thinking of the same MoneyMatters.

Thanks for letting me know.

I think it's probably the same organisation Firewalker.

It's just that there are so many trading names used, sometimes designed to read like respected agencies, that it's worth checking. The information you added will certainly help to check that.
