Hi,
My hubby and I are currently 5 months into PTD. Our teenage son wants a mobile for xmas and we are wondering whether we would be able to get a contract whilst in PTD? Have saw cheap deals for
?ú10-?ú15 a month and this would be be cheaper than the initial lay out for a phone and then the PAYG costs.

Is there any harm in trying?? Are there any particular phone companies who are more likely to accept than others??

I understand app;ying for credit is not disallowed whilst in PTD but i am a little anxious all the same.

I don't think there is any harm in trying. I'm sure you could try one or two of the bigger companies on line and see what the decision is. Please keep us posted and let us know how you get on.

Thanks for your reply, so if we try and get refused it's not going to have a negative effect on us in any way? Sorry, i@m just still a bit edgy about the whole TD thing!!

I recently updated my mobile contract with T-Mobile and got one no problem...

Thanks, it would be a new contract though so don't know if it would be more difficult to get than updating an existing contract??

Hello boys1211,

Like Mark I don't think that there's any harm in trying.

Do you or your husband already have a mobile phone contract? If so I'd contact your existing company and ask them about an additional phone.

Hi boys1211

I'm nearly 4 months into my PTD and got a contract phone with T-Mobile just last month, though I must say that was after trying most of the other companies.....I wasn't too confident about applying given my situation but I tried and I got, so give them a try.
