Hi folks, just finished my TD and would like to treat myself to a new phone, was wondering how easy or hard is it to get a mobile phone contract after a trust deed?

Hello.

We've had mixed feedback on this subject over the years, but I think most people have managed to get a contract.

If you get knocked back by one supplier there's little harm in trying another.

Its looking promising I've just had my order confirmation emailed, however the Iphone is out of stock....However, I will only believe that I have successfully gained a new mobile contract when I have the actual phone in my hands.

Hey sparky1, I just tried O2 and as the same as you I also received a conformation email. Will just have to wait and see if the phone arrives

That's great Johnd2576. My phone is still out of stock with Vodafone - but I'm not complaining as no one else is going to give me one.

TDA, as for mobile phone contracts can they actually help repair your credit rating in the long run?

I think that some of the mobile phone providers report to the credit reference agencies sparky1.

I'm afraid I don't know which report to which though.

T-Mobile (EE) are pretty good at giving phones to bad credit people, so they might be worth a try if Vodafone turns you down.

Sparky1 my friend who is not in a TD as far as I know is waiting on an IPhone through vodafone, so regardless of the TD it does genuinely sound as though they are out of stock ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks WIKIKEE, I phoned Vodafone yesterday and got put through to India so I had an unsuccessful call to find out when I would expect to receive my new phone. I basically got told if I didn't want to wait any longer I could cancel my order and I about jumped out of my seat saying no no no, I'm now happy to wait as no one else would give me a phone.
