Hi David,

Many thanks for your answer, this forum is the only thing thats been keeping me sane in terms of my trust deed recentlty!! So thank you!

It's refreshing to hear that I'm not the only one in this position.

I sent a letter recorded delivery to their Glasgow office as advised over the phone. To a colin Murduch who is a trustee. Do you know of him?

I'm going to try AIB. I didn't know that they responded to consumer enquiries so thats good to know.

Hi shark01

The AIB have greater powers after the 2013 changes to deal with Trustees, although this may be limited to cases protected.

It is always worth giving them a call to add a bit of pressure as it's not unreasonable for your trustee or a member of staff to give you an update!

Hi

Yeah i'll try them.

On what was aaid previously about prosponing my payments untill I hear from them.

I was considering that as a last resort - maybe they might actually contact if I do that!!

What would the grim concenquences be if I did that in these circumstance?

Thanks in advance.

Hi shark01.

If they're finding it tough to communicate with customers right now you'd have to wonder how quickly they'd spot a missed payment?

David did use the words "last resort" and emphasised that there are risks to you.

That's very true TDA!

Think I may have touched base with them finally!

The letter I sent recorded delivery to their Glasgow is appearing as signed for somewhere in Manchester which is where they are operating now. Would have been nice of them to let their clients know this lol!

Fingers crossed someone gets in touch with.

I've also had a response from the AIB who said they are going to incestigate for me too.

Thanks again for all your support on here, I'll keep you posted with what happens next...

Hi shark01

Good to hear things are at least moving forward.

The great unknown is always the killer in these things.

Hi shark01,

Hopefully things will start to move forward now and you will be given a full update on your case.

Let us know when you receive an update and what the position is with your Trust Deed.

Hi,

I recieved an update last night, my trustee gave me a call.

He was very apologetic about the miscommunication, my case had somehow slipped through the net during their transation period.

He gave me a couple of options.

To re-advertise the trust deed notice, the first 5 payments I've paid would still count once all set up. So I'd still have 43 left

He also offered to collapse the trust deed, refund all of the contributions to me and not take any charges as it was their mistake.

I've opted to collapse the TD and get my money back.

I've had some really good settlement offers from creditors, so with help from a family member I could be dept free alot sooner.

I guess all of us get things wrong sometimes. It's always good to hear of a firm that takes responsibility and shows flexibility when that happens.

I'm glad that it's resolved and that you have a plan that you're happy with.
