Hi,
I have just 13 months left of my 36 month trust deed however I have missed about 5 payments. I would like to increase my monthly payments by £100 - £150 per month for the remainder of my TD to make up for the missed payments as i want this finished sooner rather than later. This would be with the assistance of my partner, I wouldn't want the trustee to think I actually have this spare income and perhaps increase the payments as well as making up missed payments.
I also have equity in my car which hopefully won't be worth much more than £4000 at the end but my TD will need to be extended for this to be made up.
I can't wait for this to come to an end and start a debt free future, I never want credit again unless its for something like a house or car!!
Thanks
L Campbell
Hi prenticebaby,
You want to ensure that the Trustee is aware that the missed payments are being paid by your partner to bring these up to date.
What was the agreement in terms of your motor vehicle at the outset of your Trust Deed?
Before you know it you will be approaching your final couple of payments and then discharged.

Thanks david, i hope so, it seems to have whizzed past until now!! The equity on the car will be realised at the end. The additional payments will be made from our joint account by my partner, the normal monthly payment will be taken from my own account.

Hi prenticebaby.
I think you'll just want to be sure that your trustee recognises these as extra payments from a 3rd party towards your arrears (especially as they'll be coming from an account that you're named on).
That shouldn't be difficult to achieve if you contact them about it.
