Hi
Has anyone who is currently in a TD or has completed theirs ever missed any payments and if so how many? How was this dealt with?

I have missed a few (with permission) but now I'm worried about my TD being extended for some months. I am almost half way there.

Thanks

From what I understand the trust deed is extended by the amount of payments missed even if with permission..I have had to "miss" a few(with permission) and was told that it would be added on at the end to make up they payments.
So for example say you were allowed to miss two payments.. then it would actually take 38 months to finish the trust deed and not 36.
Im sure one of the experts will be by soon enough tho..

Hi prenticebaby,

If you miss payments to your Trust Deed then these are added on at the end by continuing with your payments.

The point really prenticebaby is that the creditors get the same outcome that they originally agreed to at the start of the trust deed.

It's good to hear that your trustee has allowed some flexibility when you've needed it.

We missed a couple but paid a little extra over the remaining months to cover it.

Thanks for the advice. My TD company has always been very accommodating and I wouldn't like to jeopardize anything by missing any further payments but unfortunately things crops up from time to time. I will try and increase my payments slightly to help although this may prove difficult.
