Anyone had any problems with MBNA with regards the PPI claims?

I just had a couple of letters relating to 2 accounts that have PPI claims in.
The letters say that because I have not returned their questionaires, they have refused the claim and as far as they are concerned the matter is now closed.

The thing is, I have never received any questionaire from MBNA about PPI or anything else.

Hi JintyMcSkinty.

Not your problem!

I'd contact your trustee and/or the claims company they instructed for them to deal with this.

Hi JintyMcSkinty,

I think the whole PPI exercise and the level of paperwork involved in this is that big that unfortunately paperwork does go missing from time to time which can cause these sort of problems and frustrations.

I would get back onto MBNA and advise that you have not had any paperwork.

Yeah, I've contacted Mark via Email and the letter states a copy has went to the claims management company too.

Already had some problems with another claim, think it may have been black horse.
They said I never returned paperwork that I had.
Now this mob saying I haven't returned it when I haven't even had any!

No wonder TD companies farm this out. Bloomin frustrating!

Their letter states if I want to take it further - the CMC's job really - I should contact the ombudsman.

I suppose this is the kind of tactic that puts folk off claiming themselves or causes some of those who do to just give up.

Hi Jinty

I passed it on earlier to check out the current position.

You are correct, with PPI you are entering 'Call Centre World' a place where your life ebbs away slowly while trying to get the simplest of information.
