Good Evening every peeps, I was thinking that with your collective knowledge of the workings of the wonderful world of trust deeds you maybe able to answer my question. My wife and I are jointly going through the process and signed a trust deed on the 18th of March 2008.
We have a car on the peugeot passport scheme which will be coming up for replacement later on this year, can you foresee us having any problems getting another car on this type of scheme?
Thanks in advance
Al

You might have problems almeda, but then again you might not.

Sorry, that doesn't really help you much does it? What I mean is, Peugeot will presumably credit score a new application, which involves doing a credit search. As your trust deed will show on your report they may decide that they do not wish to lend to you. However, they may be happy to continue to offer you finance on the scheme, particularly if your payment record with them in the past has been good.

The other consideration is your trustee. You really need to run it past them too if you are considering changing your car.

Hi Kevin, we have already run it past the trustee and they have no problems with it. We also contacted Peugeot directly, who replied that they can't guarantee that they will give us another car, as it is up to the individual dealers.
Really we just wanted to make them aware that we were signed to a trust deed before we went into the dealership, so it didn't come as a complete bombshell!!
