Hi all just back from holiday hoping someone could give me thenough latest on the court of session appeal were all waiting for ? Thanks gs
14th July was the date I was told.
Thankfully I'll be on the west coast without a mobile signal or Internet access.
Why would that be Kevin?
It's to enable consideration of the arguments and issues raised in court.
Here's the information I added to another thread on 13th June which was provided to us by someone who's pretty well connected to what's going on:
"I think it might worthwhile letting people know that whilst there appears to be a hearing on the appeal of the Lord Jones decision in July (12 and 13 I think) I am reliably informed it could be some time after that the judges will issue their decision. Additionally, I have heard that it is possible that an appeal in the Sheriff Court decision on the Donnelly case will be conjoined with that, although it is not clear it will be".
Cheers
Which is the Donnelly case?
I believe it's to do with whether RBS can set-off a PPI payment against an old debt after the borrower completed an insolvency procedure (which discharged their debt to RBS).
Progress on this case recently reported by candlewick:
