Good morning people,
A while since I have posted on here after my discharge in 2013.
Great to see so many people coming out of their trust deed and finally getting peace of mind.
For those of you who are just beginning please follow it through it will give you peace of mind and allow you to sleep on the pillow at night. 3 years or 5 whatever it takes is no time at all it may seem long but goes bye in the blink of an eye,or maybe it just seems that way to an auld goat like myself.
A wee question to our lovely experts, I have the chance to become a limited company in the work that I do,can I or because I was in a protected trust deed does that bar me and I have to use an umbrella company.
Many thanks for your past advice and the great work that you do. [:)]

Hi jimmybee.

There's nothing to stop you from forming a limited company or being a company director after a trust deed.

In fact, the same is true also during trust deeds. However, there may be challenges for company directors with poor credit records getting a bank account for their company.

This is much less likely to be a problem after discharge.

Hi jimmybee

No, there is nothing to stop you forming a limited company and being Director while in a Trust Deed or out of a Trust Deed. Any restrictions would apply to sequestration only.
