Just checked my credit file and it's a mess ๐Ÿ™ so I had done a LILA bankruptcy in 2010 ending 2011. All of those creditors are still updating my files every month as defaulting and the full amounts. What do I do about this? Who do I write to? Shouldn't they be shown as satisfied from the date the bankruptcy ended? Thanks

They should, trustdeed1. I'm afraid it sounds as though you are going to have to do a bit of work here, contacting the various companies and asking them to amend your record accordingly.

Thanks Kevin, have just spent 30mins on the phone to Aqua to be told it's with Max Recovery, phoned them and they say they have nothing of mine. I can see this being a long haul ๐Ÿ™

If I manage to get them all and they shut the accounts will they shut them from this point so like the last 3 years of defaults will still show even though it should have been closed as at 2011?

Hi trustdeed1.

As far as I can see this should all be backdated to the time at which you were discharged.

You may need to push them in that direction.

Thanks, will try my best. Aqua actually tried to tell me on the phone they wouldn't do anything until I pad the account off! 20mins later he agrees they are in the wrong but I have to send the certificate again, so 4th time they need it. I have a feeling I will be on the phone to them again. Ridiculous.

Hi Trustdeed1

I found the best way to deal with things like this is a letter to the CEO of the company, direct to the top, this usually gets things moving the right way in fairly quick time.

Phoning the customer services dept I found is a waste of time, deal direct with the person at the top, it works for me.
