Hi sharkey.

I'm glad to hear that a trust deed has been a good thing for you.

Congratulations on reaching the final stages.

I'd guess that your last review is coming up now. Having said that, if you have the chance to earn some extra money before your discharge I'd have a chat with your trust deed company about it. They may well be happy to let you keep an amount that makes the extra work worthwhile for you.

The only reason there would be a problem would be if you had been earning extra all along without disclosing it. Worst case scenario, you do extra work and they ask for more from you for that period.

Hi sharkey.

Normally you'd just stop making the payments into the trust deed. It might be a good idea to call them, tell them you've made the last payment and just double-check that they agree the payments are complete.

That will also give you the chance to ask how long your discharge should take.

My 3 year PTD is just about up and best advice I can offer is share this propsect with your trustee - he or she can be your very best friend or worst enemy and keeping them posted when you have questions like this is the way forward.
