hi all, my TD has recently become protected and due to my reduced monthly outgoings i can now afford to rent a decent place for myself and my 9yo daughter. with the letting agents doing credit checks will this adversely affect my chances of renting whilst on a TD.

I managed to pass our letting agents checks whilst in a PTD, seemingly with few problems. I explained my situation etc to him at the time and he was pretty helpful. He seemed to focus more on the money coming in and the ability to pay the rent...

Probably depends on individual companies though i would imagine.

Good luck!

Hi barneymagrew

Like newboy says it will be up to the individual companies concerned, however I do know a few people who have managed to move to rented property, with no problems, whilst in a Trust Deed.

Hi barneymagrew and Welcome to the forum.

depending on the rental market in your area, you could look at private renting instead of going through an agent?
