Hi,
Got my letter of discharge from the postman this morning, so I'm over the moon.
As my debts have been passed from pillar to post and debts passed from one debt agency to another, I've lost track of who actually has a claim on my trust deed.
My question is that, how and where can i get the list of creditors that have a claim on my trust deed so that i can notify them of my completion to amend the credit rating to 'satisfactory', or at least 'Partially satisfactory' from their particular credit agency account?
It would be helpful if the financial agent could supply this information to accompany the letter of discharge.
Many thanks

Hi Rickie1.

Your trustee will have that. They'll need it to pay out dividends. I'd ask them for a copy.

Most of them will probably be on your credit report also.

You might want to give your creditors a little time to make updates to your credit file. Some will probably do this without any prompting from you which will reduce your eventual workload.

Congratulations to you by the way. Do you have a celebration of any type planned?

Celebration? Not quite, although the letter of discharge is celebration enough!!
I was looking at 'Checkmyfile' as a credit check company as its only ยฃ7.99 p/m and checks all three main agencies for the cost, so in principle good value. (Unless you think otherwise or can advise abetter one?)
Ill give it a month and check where i stand.
Thanks for the advice and help.

There seems to be some mixed feedback online about that service Rickie1.

We've always pointed people towards CreditExpert which came out best for accuracy and being up-to-date when we researched the subject. There's free credit report versions at https://www.trust-deed.co.uk/repair-your-credit-rating.html (also available in a million other places!).

It's not cheap (once the trial has expired) and the estimated credit score they provide seems to take insufficient account of how seriously lenders actually view a recently discharged personal insolvency. Having said that, these scores from any credit reference agency seem to be pretty pointless anyway.

I believe the Noddle information is provided by CallCredit.

Not the most accurate or up to date when we researched it, but with the massive advantage of being free.

Congratulations!

I use Noddle credit. it is free of charge. I found the information the same as that on the other credit reference agency and (for me) with a easier layout.

I do not really see the point of paying for any just now since, as TDA says, your credit report will be affected until 6 years after the Trust Deed started.

From my own experience, I would recommend that you register with Noddle and wait a while and see how your files are updated. I found my dates did not match the trust deed and so that can affect finally when they drop out. Perhaps in your final year, start contacting the creditors whose dates do not match and ask them to correct them. That may take some months, depending on how helpful they are.

Mine are all now marked Satisfied and are within a month of the Trust Deed date.

Good luck.
