I made the final payment to my trust deed on June 30th and was told that it would take around 4-6 weeks for everything to become finalised, and receive my discharge. I phoned Invocas today for an update, almost six weeks later, and got the feeling nothing had been done to finalise the case, and got some story about further paperwork they had had to do. I am now being told by them that it can take up to 16 weeks for it all to be finalised.
Is this correct? and why not just tell me that at the time I paid my final amount.
Disappointed at the lack of information that has come my way and a bit angry to be honest.

Hi jazza374

If signed after April 2008, then 4-6 weeks is about average. To be honest, there's nothing to stop you being discharged and for them to continue to wind down the Trust Deed after.

Hi Mark it was signed before April 2008. It took nearly six years to make all the payments. Does that mean it takes longer?

Hi jazza374

Not particularly if they have all the claims in etc. Certainly not 16 weeks plus. I would call and ask for the reason for the delay if I were you.
