Hi There
I have a problem and could use some advice, I make my last payment to my trust deed on the 1st July... and that is it finished as I have no equity, live in council house etc...
Problem being the car I currently have has just travelled it's last mile as a couple of engine mountings have blown, and to be fair it aint gonna pass another MOT unless I spend around 750 pound (which I don't have.
First thought was - When will I be able to see about finance for a replacement car, guess I cannot do this or apply for this before my final payment ?
Second thought was a loan from the bank for the ?é?ú750 the repairs are going to cost, again can I do this just now, (which the bank would probably refuse i guess), or do I have to wait until the trust deed is finished before I can do this.
It is a really sticky situation as the car is a must for work, can you advise ?
Thanks
Hi Dovenstone
Congratulations that you are nearly at the end of your Trust Deed!
There is nothing to stop you trying to get finance for a new car or a loan now, particularly as you only have one payment left, however the odds may be stacked against you because of your credit history. If you are successful you may find that you will pay a premium for finance.
Please let us know how you get on.
