I got a phone call followed by a letter from KPMG the other day. The jist of it was my PTD is in it's final stages. I finished it in 2013 but they were now in the process of splitting the funds and finalising it.

On the phone the girl said that I would be due back £996 due to overpayment if no one disputed the fees and fund splits. The funds would be put in my account no later than the end of the month.

I'm not sure what this means but the thing I was getting is that I'll be due nearly £1,000 back all going well? Has this ever happened before to anyone? Or is it just another way for KPMG to let me down again?

Thanks and have a good weekend.

Hi glasgowgirl82.

How much was paid in total into your trust deed?

How much did you owe at the start?

I'm wondering whether, perhaps, one or more of your creditors failed to submit a claim to your trustee. There are other possible explanations as well though.

Thanks for the quick reply

I paid in total £11,500 over three years plus they got £3,600 in PPI also. I owed just over £12,000 all in I believe sorry I don't have the relevant documentation handy so I can't be more specific.

Yeah it's weird if I do get it I'll be happy as it is a difficult time of year but I'm not that lucky 🙂

I think Trust Deed Assistant might be guessing correctly - though it would have to be a fairly big creditor not claiming as the trustee's fees will have to have been met too before anything comes back to you.

Keep your fingers crossed!

Well it's passed the date and I phoned today and as expected it's another big pile of lies from KPMG. Got a guy going on alot of crap about how I'd have to wait at least another three weeks (even though I've waited three weeks) and then rambling on about cheques being cashed.

Deflated.

I'm sorry to hear that there will be a delay glasgowgirl82.

There was nothing to say that there won't be a decent payment coming your way sometime soon though?
