Was wondering about my soon to be 18 year old and his chat about buying a car when he has saved his deposit.he is ultra careful with his money ,however, will my TD affect his ability to get finance in the future? I have 3 payments left so TD will be on my file for another 3 years+....

Hi Cal

No, your credit file relates only to you and should have no effect on your son.

Hi Cal.

The only exception would be, possibly, if you were financially linked on your credit reports.

That would probably only occur if you'd had some kind of joint financial arrangement in the past, which sounds unlikely.
