Hello bnewman,

There is no such thing as a joint Trust Deed. However, depending upon your circumstances and needs, each of you may be able to enter into a Trust Deed individually.

Perhaps one of our experts could describe how a couple's affairs are co-ordinated when each decides that a Trust Deed is right for them?

Hi both

You're correct, you are unable to do a joint Trust Deed unless it is a business partnership.

Trust Deeds are set up on an individual basis to take account of debts in the individuals name and also joint debts. The normal process would be to look at all household income and expenditure and work out a contribution for both. ie if the surplus was ?รบ400 and ther income was roughly the same then this would be split 50/50. If one earned higher, then their contribution from the surplus would be higher.

Hope this helps
