My partner and I have have now come to the agreement that i can have the home signed over to me. But while my partner has been living there he has missed 2 payments on a credit card in his name, and now hes telling me that i cant take over the house on my own because i have bad credit even though the credit card isnt in my name. and the morgage company wont let me have the house on my own because of this. Welcome to the trust deed forum tank82.

Are either of you in trust deeds or any other similar type of debt solution?

Do you have a solicitor working on this for you?

Owning a home and being named on a mortgage are two different things.

Have you spoken to the mortgage company yourself tank82? I don't see why his having missed credit card payments should affect your credit rating.
