Hi all,

I've recently just got married and currently awaiting discharge from my trust deed. My wife and I are looking at setting up a joint account but I'm worried that creating a financial link to myself will cause adverse implications with her credit file, is this correct?

Hi Big_al.

A link would be created between your credit files.

Whether that link will be looked at and taken into account will vary from lender to lender.

I would hold off until at least after you are discharged and perhaps even wait until the TD is off your record altogether. No point in both of you having a rubbish history!!

Congratz on the marriage!!!
