Hi
Just reaching out for some assistance please?
I've recently been offered a new job which I'd like to accept as offers more job stability and greater long term prospects. Its in the Financial Services Sector (Industry I'm currently employed in) and I'm in Year 4 of my 4 year Trust Deed Agreement.
Within the offer is a Background Check so I notified them of my situation. They've now asked for a copy of my Trust Deed Agreement, details on what I've paid, still to pay and reasons for the debt.
In relation to sending them a copy of the Trust Deed Agreement, am I okay to proceed with this or do I need to inform my Trustee before sharing?
Many thanks in advance.
Hi 194.
You don’t need the consent of your trustee to change jobs. Go for it if this is the right thing for you.
If your salary (or expenses) change as a result of changing jobs you should keep your trustee informed.
Hi 194,
Congratulations on the new job offer. It sounds like things are moving in a positive direction for you which is great.
As TDA has advised you don’t need the consent of the Trustee. It’s your Trust Deed and your paperwork so you can give this to whoever you want..
As TDA has also pointed out notify your Trustee about the change once it’s official. There is the possibility that your payments could change if your financial situation does as a result of the new job.
Fingers crossed it all works out for you and you get the job after the checks. Please let us know how you get on as it will help other people who may work in the financial services sector.

Many thanks for the advice and guidance on this one.
Just to confirm my background checks have been completed satisfactorily and the job offer remains!
I did confirm my position with the Trust Deed at the outset and followed up with documentation and background details to support.
Really delighted with the outcome.
Thanks once again.
That's fantastic 194. Congratulations to you.
Employment prospects are a natural concern for many people thinking about using a trust deed. For most people however, a trust deed won't negatively affect their earning capacity or future prospects.
Hi 194,
That’s absolutely fantastic news. Congratulations and well done on the successful job offer.
It’s great to see that you are in the final year of your Trust Deed and your overall financial position has improved with a new job offer and career progression.
When do you start your new job?
