Final payment paid in May 2014. Was told as it was a simple TD (no equity etc) that I would receive my Form 5 in 5-6 weeks. Still haven't received it. My discharge still isn't showing on the AIB website and it's really beginning to annoy me now.

I have chased my Trustee but there is a backlog, any suggestions what else I can do to chivvy this along? [:(]

Hi Neverendingstory.

I'm sorry to hear that and can understand why you'd be frustrated.

I think sometimes people get to the top of the queue by making an annoyance of themselves, thus making it easier for the trustee just to get the discharge done for them so that they go away.

I suppose there is also a risk that this could backfire and go the other way.

Thanks TDA

I did call and ask what was going on in July. I was told that they were dealing with the normal TD (36 months) first and then get to the others (mine was extended by 2 months). But no car, no equity - I just want it to be over!

Mine was simple and it took 13 months to get discharged. Told that one company was holding up PPI. they had a policy not to discharge until PPI was resolved in case I got any money sent to me. I never had PPI.

I agree. Keep on at them.

I did view it as only 2 years to go til it dropped off after discharge instead of 3 more but it did not seem fair at the time.
