Hi

I received a letter today with aform called form 5 from Mark's firm.

I signed in April 2008 (cant believe it woz that long) and I think I have paid all the payments to date. The form seems to dsay that I have paid it all and says 'the debtor has met his obligations under the trust deed and
the debtor has been discharged from his protected trust deed on 19 April'

This might sound a stupid question, but does it mean everything's finished?

Simon

Hi simplesimon1970

I hope so as it was myself who sent it.

Everything's fine and creditors will receive their final dividend payment this week. Thereafter we will seek our discharge and things should be finalised in the next 3 or 4 weeks.

Quite an interesting technical thing on the Form 5, the guidance we work under states that the date of discharge will be effective from the date of the last contribution payment or last asset realised, yet the Trust Deed regulations state that the date of discharge will be effective from the date it is recorded as discharged. Completely contradicting each other.

Nothing to worry about though, it was all close very neatly. Honest

Regards

Mark
