Hi
I am in the process of registering with some new recruitment agencies and could do with some advice on how to answer a couple of questions on their form (form is agency's and not prospective employer). The questions are:

''Have you ever entered into an Individual Voluntary arrangement - Y/N?'
'Would you object to a credit rating check - Y/N?'
'Would you pass a credit rating check - Y/N?'

I've not been asked these questions before when signing with an agency.

Thanks for your help.

Domino

Hi Domino99

In a word no as the IVA is a separate process from the Trust Deed. I suppose it could mean one of 2 things, either have you entered a formal IVA to which the answer is no or it could mean have you entered into an arrangement which is personal to you to deal with your creditors in which the answer is yes.

I know it's not a very clear answer, but I think it refers to the England & Wales IVA and therefore I would think the answer is no.

Thanks Mark - I'm tempted to leave the other 2 questions blank as I'm not comfortable with giving random access to my credit file unless I have a definite job offer.

"Would you pass a credit rating check" is a totally meaningless question!

It depends on who's checking and what they're checking for!!

There's no meaningful answer to it. None.

Thanks TDA - that response gives me support as to why I didn't answer the question! Having been out of work for a few months I wouldn't want to miss out on any opportunities based on this registration form.
