Hello carl123,

Welcome to the Trust-Deed forum. Sorry to hear about the effect of the interest on this debt.

Mark or Kevin may have some ideas on how it might be addressed when they next get chance to visit the forum.

Do you have any other debt?

Hi carl123

There may not be much you can do about the interest I'm afraid - they are probably entitled to charge it. Did they raise a court action at the time? Also, when did you last make a payment to this debt?

It must be worth a shot trying to make an improved offer to them if they will write off some of the debt. Do you have any other debts? If so it might be worth considering a trust deed, or maybe a payment programme under the Debt Arrangement Scheme, as interest is automatically suspended under these solutions.
