Hiya

I was reading up yesterday online about how to start improving your credit rating after a Trust Deed and 1 of the points was to check that your name had been removed from The Scottish Goverment Insolvency Register.

I checked it out and my name is still on it, how do i go about getting it removed?

Hi macaulay956.

You'll remain on the register until a year after discharge.

If you're within that time period I don't think there is any way to have your name removed.

On the insolvency register there will be two discharge dates:

1- Yours
2- Your trustees

Could you let us know what you see there?

There are no dates on it.

All it has is my case ref, name, address and type of insolvency.

It sounds like you haven't fully opened up the entry in the Register.

Your name will be a hyperlink (or whatever it's called!). click on your name, and that will open up the full entry.

Then you can check to see if your trustee has also been discharged.

Hi macaulay956.

It looks like your trustee hasn't yet discharged themselves from the trust deed, which is why it remains on the register.

Hello Paul.

From the information on this thread it does look like its a year after trustee discharge. I'm not certain on that point though.

You could certainly ask for an update on when they expect to discharge themselves.
