hi again, myself and my wifes wages go up and down all over the place, mainly because of bonuses and overtime, which is not garunteed.having checked our last 10 weeks wage slips and taken an average i have worked out that wee are about ยฃ220 a month better off,but having said that 10 weeks before that we were about ยฃ200 a month down so im thinking this balances itself out,so for this reason i felt no need to contact td company.is this right or wrong,i dont know anymore what is right or wrong.any feed back appreciated.(sorry about spelling),cant think straight for worrying.sometimes i wish i was dead.(own fault for allowing us to get into mess in first place).

hello weebill , sorry to hear your feeling so down , I hope you`re feeling better soon and I hope your talking to your wife about how your feeling, its maybe worth speaking to your TD about your fluctuating salary, have they asked you to do your six month review ? this would show your earning balancing out . chin up mate

Och weebill, sorry to hear you're feeling down, but remember everyone on here has had major money problems, so we do know how you feel!!

I think it's best to be upfront to avoid any nasty surprises.

Take care & if you're mood is as low as it sounds maybe you should pay your GP a wee visit

Hello weebill.

It would best best to clarify with your trustee exactly what will happen with bonuses and overtime.

Doing so will reduce the chances that you accidentally get into arrears.

I do agree with the other posters, much more importantly than money, that you keep close to those you trust and seek external help if things feel like they're getting a bit much.

GPs know all about the stress and worry and anxiety which comes from having money problems. They know how those feelings can make it impossbile to think straight.

It's the feelings and emotions and worry that the GP can help you deal with.

In my own personal experience, once I'd got the stress and worry under control - with the GP's help - it made it a lot easier to deal with the money problems, and life's other issues.

thanks candlewick, but i dont agree with you on this,I would think that a gp would not have money problems, therefore how could they understand someones problems regarding debt.

Anyone can have money problems nowadays.

However, the point is that GPs know how stress, anxiety, worry etc ca affect people.

They will have heard many people say that they "can't think straight for worrying", and all of the other dark thoughts that can come with stress and so on.

The GP can help with that.

Debt is all relative. The more you earn the bigger into debt you could be. I know several posters on another forum, one is a senior consultant at a large hospital down south and currently in an IVA.

Debt can happen to anyone.
