Hi folks,

I though that I would celebrate my one year anniversary from the date of discharge with a little not on here.

I was finally discharged from my TD in February 2012 after my final payment in August 2011. It has been a very quick year and I have manged to clean up my credit file so that only 2 of the original 8 default notices are shown and they will fall off by November this year. I have managed to get a capital one credit card (after being turned forn for a Vanquis) and today I got accepted for a John Lewis card. My credit files are sitting at excellent now (even though there are two default notices.

Signing a trust deed is a difficult step for some, including me, but I have learned some very good lessons about budgets etcs and controlling spending.

Good luck to everyone ...

L

Thanks for posting that lenovo.

I'm glad to hear that things are going well.

I'm sure that people who are currently thinking about how to deal with debts will be reassured to see how things can be brought back on track after a trust deed has ended.

Hi lenovo

I'm really glad it has worked out.

As you say, the Trust Deed is a big step to take, but if set up properly it should take away all the unknowns and at least give people back some control to let you plan ahead.

Hi Lenovo,

Always good to hear the positive experiences of someone who has been through the Trust Deed process.

Often when we meet with clients they say "this is too good to be true" and they can't quite believe that this sort of debt relief scheme is available. They always think that there is a catch at the end. As it's a very private thing that they are doing they often don't hear about the positive experiences that people have had. We have started directing people to this forum to read the real life experiences of others who are or have been in a similar position.

Best wishes for the future.
