Hi
I was just wondering approx how many people are entering into TD's just now?
I know I'm not alone in this but wondered what the figures were roughly.
Thanks in advance

I would think in the region of 9000 per annum.

Hi Indebt999.

I think the latest quarterly statistics for trust deeds, sequestration and the debt arrangement scheme are due to be released in the next week or so.

If you go on the Accountant in Bankruptcy website you'll find historical information on the numbers of people using each option.

There were 2049 trust deeds in the last quarterly period. See:

(Blog now removed from website)

In the same quarterly period there were 2615 bankruptcies and 878 debt arrangements schemes set up.

There are no official statistics for informal debt management plans.

That's really interesting to see the numbers. I felt I was in a numptie minority who needed to opt for sequestration. Warped as it may be, I'm delighted to see I was wrong.
