Hi lhenderson,

That is really good news.

The answer is that it SHOULD only take a few weeks (and normally does) providing that there aren't complications such as the release of equity.

There has been talk on the forum recently that a couple of trust deed companies are taking a fair bit longer than that as they have got behind.

I would suggest that you are persistent in getting an answer from the company so that you know where you stand.

Might be a bit of a stupid question.....and apologies if it is!....but how do you know if you've been discharged? Does you're trustee contact you or are you meant to check in with them?

Made my last payment in July and haven't heard anything.

Thanks

Hi, well my trust deed finished in march this year and stupidly assumed i'd been discharge as i hadn't heard from them, but i was wrong, when i called the office that was dealing with my td to see if i would be gettin any paperwork, i was told that they were now looking into claiming ppi back from creditors!! So it wasn't over after months of pestering i called last week and they told me it will be processed in the next few weeks so fingers crossed

Hello newboy,

If you haven't heard anything I'd suggest that you get in touch with your trust deed company to clarify the current situation.

Hello newboy

You should receive something in writing from the trustee confirming your discharge, and if you haven't I would give them a phone.
