Hi there,

What would be someone's situation while still currently in a trust feed situation if a relative had left them a property in their will?

Thanks

Hi Kellyann17 and welcome.

If someone comes into money or assets during their trust deed they need to let their trustee know. The trustee will look to use those resources to pay more back to the creditors involved.

Hi thank you for your reply. It's not actually myself but I have just recently going out that my daughters grandparents ( my ex in laws ) have left their property to her in their will and I wasn't sure if because of my situation it would affect my daughter.

If the property is left specifically to her rather than to you then it shouldn't be affected by the Trust Deed, Kellyann.

Hi Kellyann17,

As Kevin has advised if it’s your daughter that is going to inherit the asset then it shouldn’t be something which is taken into consideration under your Trust Deed.
