Hi,

I am nearing the end of my bankruptcy but would like help to clarify a few questions please. My trustee is willing to abandon her interest in my 50% share of my property on payment of ยฃ550. As it is in negative equity should I still pay? It was also mentioned if it was not paid the valuation of the property would be re-assessed for 3 yrs! I am a little confused. If i pay it before the end of my bankruptcy will I then be discharged completely with no further involvement from AIB? Sorry for waffling on. Many thanks.

Hi megantess

Yes, it appears that your trustee will discharge all interest in the property on receipt of the payment. If there are no other matters outstanding then they will hopefully seek their discharge.

Hi megandtess.

I cannot see why there would be any restrictions following your discharge.
