Hi all. First time posting on the forum.

I've won a holiday which I'm delighted about, as I'm not able to afford one whilst in my Trust Deed. They said it was all-inclusive, including travel. It now transpires that they want to send me a ยฃ500 cheque to cover the travel/transfer part of the prize. Now worried that I won't be able to go, I was under the impression that any extra income/windfalls have to be declared and paid toward the TD.

Is this the case?

Welcome to the forum SparklingBoots.

This is the type of question that definitely needs to be put direct to your trustee.

You're correct that windfalls would usually have to be paid into your trust deed. Will your trustee extend a bit of flexibility in these unusual circumstances? Worth a try.

Can't you speak to the holiday company to see if there are alternative methods of them getting the funds to you?
