Hi,
I am very kindly being taken on holiday soon by my partner who is generously funding this for us both, I'm in a trust deed just coming up to the 2 year mark and not been away for a while so very looking forward to this.
My query is that we have got a currency card each (just a prepaid visa type card rather than have cash on us) I have a card in my name and my partner is going to give me money to put on this for use on holiday for food etc but I'm just a bit worried that the funds will show on my bank account first and then go back onto the currency card it will look like I'm in extra funds, which I suppose I am but its not really my money if that makes sense? is it better for my partner just to keep all the money on his currency card for us to use or is this something I am just thinking is worse than it is and its not really an issue?
Any advice greatly appreciated!
Hello holidayfunds and welcome to the trust deed forum.
I very much doubt that your trust deed firm will have any issue with this type of gift.
To avoid misunderstandings about this in the future you may just want to run it by them in advance so that they're aware of this if/when they review your bank statement.
ah thats great news, thank you for the quick reply! I think I'll give the firm a quick call just to let them know as I do have the yearly review coming up either this month or next so it will show on my bank statement and rather make them aware before we go off but good to hear it shouldn't be an issue
I don't think prepaid cards show up anywhere but let your trustee know and make sure you get a written response, either letter or email.

Prepaid currency cards normally allow for a second card to be issued?
